The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza
Danza II The Electric Boogaloo
Blackmarket Activities
31:39 - 13 Tracks
This fits along with technical brutal-core.  A lot of chaotic metal goodness moving all around here.  Abrasive vocals, and just crazy musicianship going on.  This is brutal and the song titles are fun.  You’ll hear it on the Mosh Pit

Scum of the Earth
Sleaze Freak
Eclipse
39:31 - 23 Tracks
This band is fronted by Rob Zombie’s former guitarist, Riggs.  And gosh, for a while listening to this CD, I thought it was Rob Zombie… while the vocals are a little different, the music is basically the same as something Zombie would put out.  Punchy, a bit eery creepy, you know that halloween type of sound.  If you like the Zombie, you’ll like this, and if we can work it in, we’ll throw it on the air at the Mosh Pit!

Helloween
Gambling with the Devil
SPV
57:38 - 12 Tracks
This is a good solid power metal release from these veterans of all that is cheese power metal!  The songs don’t F around too much.  It’s heavy, fast, rifftacular and not very cheesy at all!  The guitar work is great, and the production is top notch…  They have stayed true to their sound, yet keeping it modern.  You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Otep
The Ascension
Koch
60:55 - 13 Tracks
The new release from Otep… Finally!  After having many record label problems…(they merged with another company and dropped half their bands)… they  got on board with Koch records and released this album.  It’s a little more complex, layered and less messing around.   It is still filled with Otep’s emotion and issues, but that’s what makes it great.  There’s a “ballad” that is actually pretty cool, I think they’ve played this live, it just has that familiar sound to it.  The bulk of the album is filled with catchy, heavy metal anthems that you will be hearing a lot of on the Mosh Pit.

Enthroned
Tetra Karcis
Napalm
35:37 - 10 Tracks
It’s not every week we get some good ol Black Metal CD.  I’ve been getting letters to the show lately asking for more Black Metal and we just haven’t gotten much new stuff in lately.  Well, Enthroned are back with their newest effort which does not disappoint!  It’s got classic Black Metal everything.  Fast blast beats, evil vocals and guitars and it has decent production but not so great that it’s like Dimmu Borgir and all “perfect”  This is all just right.

Agony Scene
Get Damned
Century Media
36:38 - 11 Tracks
Kind of a “southern thrash” thing going on.  Catchy heavy thrashy music with some normal scream/growls for vocals.  The trashy stuff is pretty cool and there are some pretty good breakdowns, you know more thrash type breakdowns and not the stereotypical hardcore breakdown.  This is good stuff, you’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Stuff from last week that came in late…

MOD
Red, White and Screwed
Index Entertainment
48:46 - 14 Tracks
A new one from MOD!  It sounds like MOD… but damn, a bit heavier!  I can’t say there’s anything new and exciting about this, except it seems a little heavier than their older stuff.  \

Maeder
Maeder
Locomotive
41:26 - 12 Tracks
This is some power ballad-y early 90’s sounding hard rock stuff.  They sound good, I’m sure they’d put on a great live show to drink some beer to.  There are some cool heavier hard rockin’ songs on here, but nothing that’s really Mosh Pit material… but as always, if you request it, we’ll play it!

The Vision Bleak
The Wolves Go Hunt Their Prey
Napalm
43:24 - 9 Tracks
This is a bit goth, a bit black metal, and if I had to compare it to a band, it’d be like Moonspell.  It’s down here as “horror/gothic metal”  Just in time for Halloween!  It sounds pretty cool, and if there’s time, we’ll play it and let you check it out for yourself!

Icarus Witch
Songs for the Lost
Cleopatra
46:41 - 10 Tracks
These guys are kind of a Judas Priest / Iron Maiden throwback.  The songs don’t waste time getting going.  It’s your basic meat and potatoes classic power metal sound.
