Revolution
33:31 - 9 Tracks
This is just a plain ol throwback to the Seattle sound. Just a grungy, plodding hard rock effort. The production is a bit low budget sounding, but I guess it could be construed as “raw” too. It’s okay for what it is, but it’s not really what defines the Mosh Pit. It’s a maybe.

Sounds of the Underground 2007 Tour Complilation
Ferret
2 CDs / 1 DVD - Various times and tracks
This is a compilation of current SOTU artists and other bands on SOTU’s band’s labels. This tour is a good slice of all genre’s of metal. While not as strong as some previous years, this lineup has some cool strong parts and you can never go wrong with GWAR!! This compilation has something for everybody, so you’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!
The Number Twelve Looks Like You
Mongrel
Eyeball
37:27 - 10 Tracks
An extreme experimental metal-core band here. It’s heavy, technical, all over the place, yet still all together. I guess they’d fit into the same mold as the Dillinger Escape Plan, but I think it’s a bit more cool than that. In parts it’s just all out brutal, but then it just changes to something else. It’s pretty cool and not like a lot of the new stuff these days. You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!
King Diamond
Give Me Your Soul… Please
Metal Blade
54:05 - 13 Tracks
Good ol King Diamond back with Andy LaRocque for the first King Diamond album in 3 years. It’s classic King Diamond. Of course, it’s nothing groundbreaking, but it’s always nice to have a new story from the King. Awesome playing, lyrics about a brother and sister murdered by their father and the boy can’t get to heaven because they accuse him of committing suicide. No matter what it’s about, it’s good stuff from The King. You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!
August Burns Red
Messengers
SolidState
48:16 - 11 Tracks
At first listen, there’s just a normal SolidState records brutal metal-core sound here, but then the riffing and hooks are just way cool. It’s pretty brutal, leaning more towards the Hatebreed arm of hardcore, but with some inklings of Unearth, but with their own take on it all. You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!
Dedkor
Dedkor
Heavy Lead
42:21 - 10 Tracks
From Chicago, these guys have a pretty good sound, the album however, does sound a bit low budget. They have the early 90’s hard rock/prog metal sound going on. Some cool guitar solos, but overall it’s a bit plain on the CD. It could use a bit more punch. I’m sure these guys are great live! You may hear this on the Mosh Pit.

Emotional Syphon
46:08 - 12 Tracks
The first band signed to “Munky” from Korn’s label, I was expecting some rap-metalley thing to come on the speakers, and nope, a brutal heavy Chimaira-like sound came pounding out. It’s heavy, catchy, laden with riffs and fits nice along with this “new wave of american metal” genre. You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!
Will Haven
The Hierophant
Beiler Bros.
51:59 - 13 Tracks
After a long hiatus, Will Haven is back. The new album isn’t anything new in the genre of metal/hard rock. It’s kind of a plodding metal-core, screamo vocals and it just sounds kind of plain to me. However, you probably won’t hear it anywhere else, and we played Will Haven back in the day, so you might hear it on the Mosh Pit.
Five Finger Death Punch
The Bleeding (Sampler)
Firm Music
8:24 - 2 Tracks
This is melodic, heavy, catchy and a good commercial radio single. This is a single because they will be on the Family Values tour this summer. You may hear this on the Mosh Pit, but it’s not high on the priority list.
Darkest Hour
Deliver Us
Victory
39:39 - 11 Tracks
A new album from these guys, with their brutal thrashy metal-core sound. I guess it’s more thrashy and metal than metal-core. A wall of brutal yet melodic guitar riffs and vocals are in your face. These guys are near the top of this brutal metal-melodic metal-core genre. Nothing whiney and emo about this, and you’ll hear it on the Mosh Pit.
