Anterior

This Age of Silence
Metal Blade
43:12 - 9 Tracks
Pretty standard thrashy/death metal with a pinch of prog and metalcore.  It’s fast, riffy, heavy and nice and clean sounding.  Great production.  They don’t really mess around much here.  You’ll hear it on the Mosh Pit.

Symphony X
Paradise Lost
InsideOut
61:03 - 10 Tracks
Their long awaited follow up to The Odyssey is finally here!  With health problems, side projects, a Gigantour and whatever else interrupting them, Symphony X unleashes their new album on us.  It’s classic SymX, symphonic moments, cool riffing, solos, and awesome vocals by Russell Allen round this out to be another classic by these guys.

Queens of the Stone Age
Era Vulgaris
Interscope
47:28 - 11 Tracks
At first listen, it sounds like some classic Jimmy Page rippin’ up some riff from LZ-2 or something.   The rest of the CD is typical QotSA, some grungy riffs, stoner metal, spacey rock, and keeping a pretty raw sound.  Some songs are pretty catchy, so I’m sure you’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit

I Hate Sally
2-Song Sampler (Don’t Worry Lady)
Density
12:14 - 2 Tracks
Pretty heavy, in your face stuff, kind of like the Dillinger Escape Plan.  Just a wall of loud metal in your face.   There are some cool instrumental break/jams inside the 2nd track on this (it’s 8:46!)  You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!
