Hey… here’s the new stuff for the week. Still missing a few things, so I may do some more updating soon!

First Blood
Killafornia
Trustkill
34:44 - 11 Tracks
A straightedge hardcore band with a pretty good metal groove going on. It features some guys from the band Terror. They seem to stay true to the hardcore/metal sound without going too far away from it. They stay heavy and that’s good. You’ll probably hear this on the Mosh Pit

The Autumn Offering
Embrace The Gutter
Victory
35:18 - 11 Tracks
Another metalcore offering from Victory. It sounds good, nothing really new here. Some pretty good guitar work and solos going on. It’s got some good melody, yet still keeping it brutal. The singy metal core choruses don’t really get very singy, where a band would get all emo, they still have a bit of brutal in the vocals. It’s pretty decent and you’ll probably hear this on the Mosh Pit.

Ministry
Rio Grande Blood
Megaforce
51:25 - 13 Tracks
Ministry is back and they haven’t let up. Yes, it’s another anti-bush vibe, and it’s done right. It’s in your face, heavy and great to kick back and absorb the greatness. There’s not much more to say about this, than it’s great! You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Tyr
Eric The Red
Napalm
70:38 - 12 Tracks
Epic metallers Tyr are back for more with this release. I feel a bit like a lepruchaun when I listen to this, as it’s a bit, um, well, “lepruchauney.” A bit further in the CD, while singing about some dragon, they get a bit more concise in the epic power metal sound. It’s okay, but nothing really exciting for me. You might hear a track on the ‘Pit.

Scar Symmetry
Pitch Black Progress
Nuclear Blast
59:22 - 13 Tracks
The latest in a line of “catchy death metal.” It sounds a bit like Soilwork with the clean/death vocals bouncing back and forth with a nice clean metal sound backing it up. The death metal vocals stay pretty deathy, whereas the clean vox really are a contrast to that…it’s amazing that it’s the same guy!? While it’s not really original, I think it’s pretty good and you’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Sodom
Sodom
SPV
Good ‘Ol Sodom. Great catchy thrash metal at its finest. It’s good n heavy, doesn’t let up, and well, it’s Sodom. What else can you say? You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!
